MBTA UPDATE: Night Owls Rejoice!!!

Attention all HubNers!  MBTA is going to extend their hours until 3AM. This will all begin in the the end of March or April  2014. All subway lines and 15 most popular bus routes will run til 3AM.  We finally don't have to stress on how to get home now. It only makes sense to extend the hours. Many people have complained on how public transportation, or even how Boston shuts down way to early. Most nightclubs and bars all close at 2AM.

This is only a "1 Yr Pilot Program" so they are still experimenting  for a year and see if this would be success. If ridership is not enough to support the cost of operation, then the MBTA may just cancel the program.

So everyone, its time to explore later hours of Boston, and see what it has to offer. And consider taking the T next time. Lets keep this MBTA late night service running!

By the way, fares remain unchanged for later hours. Still $2.00 for Subway and $1.50 for Bus (with Charlie Card). After 1 a.m., trains are scheduled to run every 10 to 15 minutes, and buses every 15 to 20.
